Immunity Tea

A classic recipe that is most likely a staple in any household, this is our version of the perfect lemon, ginger and Manuka honey tea. Edit the quantities to suit your taste and you’ll soon figure out how to make your perfect tea too!

I N G R E D I E N T S :

  • fresh ginger root (grated, no need to peel. 1-2cm is ideal depending how strong you want it)

  • 1 cup water, boiling

  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 2 Tbsp Mānuka honey (the higher the UMF grade the better! We recommend UMF20+)

M E T H O D :

  1. Grate the ginger into a loose leaf tea strainer and place in a tea pot filled with boiling water.

  2. Steep for 3 -4 minutes. While this happens, place the lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of honey in a mug.

  3. Pour the boiling water, now infused with the ginger, into the mug and stir to dissolve the honey. Taste, then add another spoonful of honey if needed. You can make this more zingy by adding extra lemon or ginger slices into the mug too.
